Joining the Intelligence Division
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN AN APPLICANT
Background to the Intelligence Division
The Intelligence Division are a subgroup of the Emperor’s Hammer unlike any other. We have a specific aim of maintaining the security of the hammer. We monitor both external and internal threats to the club and as our name implies, gather intelligence on potential troublemakers.
We are constantly looking for new applicants to joint the division, however are highly selective over who we take.
Applicant Profile
The ideal applicant will be discrete, intelligent, mature, honest and have integrity. All agents are required to conform to our secrecy requirements, for the safety of themselves, the Intelligence Division’s objectives and the Emperor’s Hammer.
Service Requirements
When we process your application to the division, we will look specifically for the following:
Your Intelligence Division application must use a different name and email to any other subgroup in the Emperor’s Hammer and must be unknown.
Example
Captain Beta in the TIE Corps (beta@ehtiecorps.org), of Kappa Squadron, applies to the Intelligence Division using the name “Dagless” (dagless@ehintel.org) , however declares on his application form his TIECorps ID Line and PIN.
He is accepted as the name and email he has chosen is not traceable to his TIECorps profile.
Essential
- Prior Service in the Emperor’s Hammer (at least 1 month)
- Recent activity within the Emperor’s Hammer
- Ability to satisfy our vetting team that you are discrete, intelligent, mature, honest and have integrity.
- Ability to abide by the Emperor’s Hammer Articles of War, Code of Conduct and Bylaws
Highly Desirable (NB, you must satisfy at least one of the highly desirable criteria)
- Management experience within a subgroup of the Emperor’s Hammer (TIECorps CMDR or above)
- Experience of various subgroups of the Emperor’s Hammer
Desirable
- Gaming Presence within the Emperor’s Hammer
- IRC Presence within the Emperor’s Hammer
- Knowledge of Internet Security / Technical Knowledge
Disqualifying Information
Discussing your application with any member of the Emperor’s Hammer, with the exceptions of the Fleet Commander, Fleet Executive Officer, member of the Ubiqtorate or Bureau Director will mean your application will be disqualified.
How long does the application process take?
This depends on the information which comes back from our initial vetting enquiries. However, usually, we aim to have applications processed within 48 hours
Appeals / Reapplication
For each application you make, the decision of our vetting officer is final. However, applications when rejected will be rejected with two status markers.
- Application Denied, Can re-apply
This will be used when the vetting officer feels that the candidate fails to meet one of the essential requirements, or has not shown evidence of meeting at least one highly desirable criteria but will be able to do so in the future.
- Application Denied, No Reapplication Permitted
This will be used when the vetting officer has grave concerns about whether the candidate could ever meet the requirements of service in the Intelligence Division. This could be because the officer felt that they had concerns about a candidates honesty or ability to abide by the Articles of War.
This category might be applied where candidates have had previous disciplinary action against them within the Emperor’s Hammer.
